Am I eligible to participate in the Express Upgrade to Windows Vista Program?

What makes the model 02 different from the model 01+?

Redesigned from the ground up, the model 02 is up to four times faster and has a display more than six times brighter than its groundbreaking predecessor, the model 01+. The model 02 includes several improvements in cooling effectiveness, making it twice as effective as the model 01+. Other distinguishing features of the model 02 include:

  • - Up to 1GB installed DDR2 SDRAM
  • - Optional WWAN module for mobile broadband

Is the OQO model 02 a Windows Vista Capable PC?

The OQO model 02 is a Windows Vista Capable PC. Not all Windows Vista features are available for use on all Windows Vista Capable PCs, although all Windows Vista Capable PCs will run the core Vista features. These include tools for organizing and finding information, security, and reliability. Some features available in premium editions of Windows Vista -- like the new Windows Aero user interface -- require advanced or additional hardware. OQO is participating in the Express Upgrade to Windows Vista Program. Customers who order an OQO Windows Vista Capable PC by January 30, 2007 are eligible to receive a corresponding upgrade to the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system through the Express Upgrade Program.

What wireless options are available?

The model 02 computer comes standard with integrated WiFi and Bluetooth. In addition, the model 02 can be configured with an embedded EV-DO module (+$149) for mobile broadband connectivity.

Is there an upgrade program for existing customers?

OQO is offering qualifying owners of a model 01 or model 01+ a free docking station with integrated dual layer DVD burner (valued at $399) with the purchase of a model 02 computer. This is a limited time offer that expires on April 1st, 2007. There is no trade-in program. Full details, including terms and conditions, are available in our knowledgebase.

To qualify for this special promotion, you must have a valid model 01 or model 01+ serial number and a valid model 02 order number. Your model 02 order number can be found in your account order history.

To request the promotion, log into your OQO online store account. You will see an informational box about the special promotion with a link to request your free docking station.

  1. Enter your model 01/01+ serial number and your model 02 order number.
  2. Click the CONTINUE button to submit your serial and order numbers for validation. If you need assistance, please contact OQO Customer Care at 1.877.676.6688.
  3. Upon validation of your serial and order numbers, a $0 sales order for the free docking station will automatically be placed. Check your online store account within 2-3 business days of submitting your promotion request to view your order summary.

How do I order a model 02?

U.S. customers who wish to purchase fewer than ten units can order the model 02 from our online store; those customers who wish to purchase ten or more units should complete our corporate sales request form and an account representative will contact you.

What support options and warranties are available?

Your new model 02 ships with a one-year limited warranty. Toll-free technical assistance is available via phone. OQO also offers online and email support. Access the online knowledgebase and email support from our support page.

You may also purchase a two or three-year extended express warranty. The extended warranties may be purchased when you purchase your new computer or up to nine months after your purchase. Detailed warranty information is available online.

What shipping options are available and how do I track my order?

One shipping option is available. Your order will be shipped to you directly from our manufacturing fulfillment center and is normally delivered within 2 business days from the ship date and approximately five business days after you place the order for in-stock products. Please note that we do not expect the model 02 to be in-stock until March 2007.

The tracking number for your OQO order is generated by FedEx when the order is shipped. You should receive an e-mail notification containing your tracking number along with information pertaining to your order. You can then track your order on the FedEx website.
